Partnering With Residents to Transform Nostrand Houses
Nostrand Houses is undergoing a historic transformation through the NYC Public Housing Preservation Trust (the Trust), in partnership with NYCHA and the Community Modernization Group (CMG) — the design-build team selected to lead the renovations.
Backed by a $400 million investment from the Trust and NYCHA, this project will deliver full upgrades to 1,148 apartments — improving living conditions for more than 2,200 residents. Renovations include new kitchens, bathrooms, windows, heating systems, elevators, upgraded electrical systems, and the safe removal of lead paint and other environmental hazards.
This modernization effort is focused on enhancing residents’ quality of life while preserving long-term affordability and public ownership. Construction will be carefully planned to reduce disruption and ensure residents stay informed and supported every step of the way.
The CMG team is proud to partner with the Nostrand community, NYCHA and the Trust to bring lasting improvements to your homes — and we’re here with you every step of the way. This is your home, your community, and your future. We're here to work together to make it even better!
This site will be your hub for updates, events, construction timelines, and opportunities to get involved.
